A little about me…

Soul-Centered Photographer

Luray, Virginia

Hi, I’m Rebecca. A deeply grounded, heart-led photographer who believes this work is something sacred. Photography is more than a session to me. It’s a way to hold time still for a moment and honor who you are and the people you love in this season of life.

I work with natural light, open spaces, and intuitive direction to create images that feel earthy, emotive, and real…the kind of photographs that already feel like memories. Slightly undone, gently lit, full of movement and meaning.

My journey as a self-taught photographer began in 2008 when I got my first DSLR camera as an act of reclamation. I was searching for creative freedom and a way to create something meaningful for the people around me. Over the years, photography has become both a craft and a calling, a way to witness and preserve the beauty of real life as it unfolds.

My approach isn’t traditional or overly posed. I focus on connection, presence, and helping people feel at ease in front of the camera. I’ll guide you through the process, help with wardrobe planning, and create a relaxed environment where authentic moments can happen naturally.

I’m most inspired by people who value connection, story, and the quiet magic of every day life.

When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll find me living slowly in the Shenandoah Valley - raising my daughter, spending time with my adult children, exploring, supporting local small businesses, and enjoying the beauty of the mountains I call home.

Photography is the heart of Souls & Stories, and in time this space will also grow to include small gatherings and experiences rooted in connection, reflection, and storytelling.

If this way of seeing the world resonates with you, I would be honored to create something meaningful together.
